→ GENERAL MOD NOTES

Welcome to 2020 and the seventh month of Cetana! We are back on a dungeon month and will now be approaching the endgame. More details about the endgame will be briefly covered in this post while full details will be released next month. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask them in the comments.

⬥ There are no new requests from the Velvet Room assistants. They will be preoccupied with other matters so they cannot put up formal tasks, though if you ask Souji, he will informally ask for a fridge to replace the old and a blender. Someone stole his fucking blender and he still has no idea who.

⬥ Cetana is currently on its destination to its end. Originally, the game was planned to run for approximately ten months, depending on the plot's development and the characters' actions, and based on the current schedule, it was thought that the game would end by March. However, after some consideration, the mod team has decided to extend the closing of Cetana to the end of July, depending on the characters' choices. This month and the next's will heavily determine whether the game will conclude with either a bad ending, neutral ending, or true ending. If a bad or neutral end is selected, the game will follow its original schedule and be finished approximately by March. However, if characters proceed with the true ending, the game will be extended till July and characters will have one more mission that will settle all loose ends. More details will come in February, so we hope that you look forward to it!

⬥ The calendar for January is as follows:

→ SETTING CHANGES

⬥ The following characters have permanently died and cannot be app nor can they be revived:

These characters have either been killed by the illness sweeping through town, a bear, or just by being Kano.

In addition, these are the following changes within the setting:

⬥ As of the end of November, a jail featuring exactly one cell has been constructed. It is located on the other side of the lake, far away from the residential area.
⬥ As of 12/03, a bell has been hung over the offertory box at the shrine. The shrine's sign has been painted black, but it is still missing a name.
⬥ As of 12/28, the hospital has been destroyed and reduced to ruins. It is now closed to the public.
⬥ As of 12/28, a clinic and pharmacy have been set up inside the community center to service the town while the hospital is being rebuilt. All of the meeting rooms are currently occupied by hospital beds.
⬥ As of 12/28, the lake's water has turned turbid and its levels have dropped substantially.
⬥ As of 12/28, the four highest mountain peaks have been damaged by an avalanche, revealing a path that leads from the base of the mountains to a shrine hidden on the mountainside.

→ JANUARY 3 - EVENT LOG & DUNGEON

On the night of January 3rd, characters outside during the Lockdown will experience the usual strong gusts of winds that lead to a new dungeon, but they will quickly notice that they may end up in different locations. One leads towards the castle in the forest while the other goes towards the broken mountain peaks on the other side of town.

Some important notes about this dungeon:

⬥ This dungeon will actually be a set of two dungeons. One will take place in the castle and the other will be in the shrine in the mountains. Characters must split up and enter the dungeons at the exact same time, which means that it'd be impossible to complete one dungeon then proceed to the next. Furthermore, once characters enter, they cannot leave until they complete their tasks.

⬥ Due to the nature of the dungeons, there will not be a specific date when the dungeon log will be posted. Characters will have to make an IC decision on when they would venture in and how they would split up. Once a date has been determined and everyone is OOCly comfortable to begin threading out the dungeons, the log will be posted.

⬥ Character actions will play a large part in both dungeons. Depending on what choices are made, both the scenarios and end result will change. New parts of the dungeons will be posted after teams make an IC decision and complete the previous sections.

⬥ The boss threads will go up once all the requirements of the dungeon have been achieved. Both dungeons do not need to be completed at the same time in order for a boss to appear. The boss will be posted when a dungeon is completed, regardless of the other dungeon's status as there will be a separate boss for each area.

⬥ There will not be a turn-in requirement to defeat the bosses for this month. The result of the boss encounters will be dependent on the actions of the characters. More information will be given out when at least one boss is summoned.

The event log will be posted on January 3 with plot information that will assist the characters in their decision on how to proceed with the dungeons.

→ JANUARY 01 - PERSONAL SHADOW EVENT

Archer will be running a personal Shadow Event for Akira Kurusu that will take place in the school dungeon. The log has already been posted here so we hope that everyone will be able to Joker'ound with one another, maybe even commit an Arsène to a house so then everyone can get nice and toasty before heading in to deal with the Shadow.

Threads in this log may count towards your dungeon thread requirement of AC. We hope that you will all have fun! Happy New Year!
