...More seriously though. Mondo is probably the single person in Hirajiro that Enkidu looks forward to seeing the most. He's very expressive, considerate, and assertive, and his hair is very cool and different. He seems genuinely interested in Kidu and the things they have to say, which is... confusing? Also a little bit flattering (if they knew how to put that feeling into words), but mostly confusing.

To be honest Enkidu has a lot of feelings about Mondo that they can't really explain, but that has more to do with their general inability to understand and express their feelings. He understood exactly what they were talking about when they discussed their relationship with their Master, which is an unusually genuine emotional point for them — they didn't have to explain concepts they found it hard to articulate, he just knew. He seems confident in his abilities but is also always concerned for their well-being, which is still very nice even though Enkidu can take care of themselves and doesn't feel like they're really worth getting so worked up over. His demeanour was such that Enkidu kinda naturally trusted him while the two of them were talking, and they told more about themselves than they necessarily planned to.

I think part of this is because he reminds them in some aspects of Gil, which is the highest honor any other human can achieve in Enkidu's eyes — but it's also that Mondo is just really engaged with them and treats them like a person. And more than that, a person who's worth something. And that just makes them feel very, very nice.

(They haven't realized the thing about Mondo thinking of them as a girl, but if he brings it up, they'll probably be okay with it. Enkidu's alright with people calling them whatever. They'll probably think it's funny tbh.)
