→ GENERAL MOD NOTES

Welcome to the third month of Cetana! We are now back on a dungeon month, so we hope that you will enjoy the upcoming event. Please read these announcements carefully. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask them in the comments.

⬥ There is a new set of requests from the Velvet Room assistants. As a reminder, unless specified otherwise in the specific request, there are no deadlines for turning in threads so please feel free to submit them whenever you please.

⬥ From here on, every event plotting post will include a thread for game and mod feedback so we can continue to improve the game up until its end, so please make sure of the feedback toplevel in each post to give any type of concrit, whether it is positive or negative.

⬥ To OOCly answer an important IC question to the NPCS from last month, characters are allowed to have their Personas evolve and change. Similar to the mainline series, Personas may take on new forms and shapes when characters undergo significant character development and undertake a resolution to become better versions of themselves. These Ultimate Personas could appear after a Shadow event and characters accept their Shadow Selves or anywhere else down the line when characters come upon their resolution. Ultimate Personas may also remain the same form if characters have the desire for them to stay the same to serve as a reminder for their actions or failures, but still receive the same benefits from changing shape. More information about Ultimate Personas may be found on the Persona page under the new header.

⬥ You may now submit any changes to the game's setting underneath this top-level on the Locations page. Whether the changes are minor, such as characters creating a small cat house in the marketplace for the strays, or major, such as characters trying to kill every single crow in the area, you may comment to the thread so everyone may be aware of them. If you are unsure whether your character's actions may have some sort of effect on the setting, please submit them and the mods will reply back with whatever effect they might have caused. We will then list these setting changes in every new plotting post.

→ SETTING CHANGES

⬥ The following characters have been dropped from the game:
Airi Ban (tosearch)
Atsushi Nakajima (thetyger)
Jill Valentine (torsion)
Kokichi Ouma (decipere)
These characters may still be found within Hirajiro, but in a semi-responsive vegetative state. They will lose their sense of being and be highly apathetic.

In addition, these are the following changes within the setting:

⬥ As per the second event log in August, the first floor of the castle is permanently restored. The overall foundation and pillars of the castle have been repaired, the rubble has been cleared away, and the walls are covered in murals that depict a small village surrounded by farmland, a familiar lake at the center, and flocks of crows adorning the skies with one large crow standing on the peak of the mountain overlooking the town. The stairs to the second floor still remain broken, however.

⬥ Similarly to the castle, the shrine is also partially restored. The broken stone lanterns are restored to perfection, the stairsteps are even and clean, the water basin is no longer filled with algae and has clean water, and the sign now stands up straight and covered in a new fresh white paint, though it still does not have a name

→ SEPTEMBER 3 - DUNGEON

On the night of September 3rd, characters outside during the Lockdown will experience a familiar gust of wind that will guide them all the way towards the lake. As they approach it, they will find the new dungeon underneath the waters. Black blobs of Shadows once again reemerge and leave the lake to head into town to search homes during the Lockdown. Throughout the month, citizens will begin to get sick and fall back into the same sort of lethargic illness from July. Soon enough, they will disappear altogether should the dungeon be left incomplete.

Some important notes about this dungeon:

⬥ There will not be a specific date when the dungeon boss will appear. This is due to a new thread turn-in mechanic that we will be employing. Characters must gather six coins throughout the dungeon that will allow them to access the final room that contains the boss. As a result, the overall playerbase must submit a total of six different threads that involve the act of gathering one of the coins.

⬥ Each coin will require different methods to obtain them, playing to different character strengths. More information about how to gather these coins will be provided on the log, but these are the general details for each one:
1. Caution: characters must carefully gather multiple paper lanterns from Shadows and bring them to a specific location without damaging any of them to obtain the coin.
2. Critical Thinking: characters must figure out how to obtain a coin that is constantly out of reach and acquire it by figuring out a solution.
3. Negotiation: characters must bargain with a greedy Shadow that will trade away the coin if their numerous and outrageous demands are met.
4. Speed: characters must quickly find or create a path to the coin or risk being severely poisoned the longer they stay in the maze.
5. Stealth: characters must sneak past powerful Shadows to search and steal a hidden coin without being detected or risk being literally burned.
6. Strength: characters must defeat a large group of powerful Shadows that are all fighting for the coin and avoid getting killed in the process.
⬥ Players may discuss which coin would best interest them and their character in this plotting post but will have to sign up their characters for each coin on the main log itself. There are no limits to how many people may team up for each coin. However, we ask that players limit themselves to a maximum of two coin-related threads for themselves. Please give coin sign-up priorities to those who have not yet signed up before signing up for a second coin thread and please keep in mind that we require at least one thread for each coin for the boss to appear.

⬥ After the boss appears, the toplevel for thread requirements for the dungeon's completion will be unscreened and open for submissions. Similarly to July's dungeon, a maximum of two threads may be turned in per player. Ten threads will be required for the completion of the dungeon and these threads may not overlap with threads used for the coin turn-ins.

This log will be posted on September 3 and the boss thread will be posted within this log.

→ SEPTEMBER 3 - PERSONAL SHADOW EVENT

Dani will be running our first Shadow Event on September 3rd with a forwarded-dated IC day. She will be posting a log on September 3 so please look forward to it!

A toplevel with the NPCs will be posted in the log that will inform the characters that Sasuke has disappeared into the second dungeon due to his Shadow. This toplevel will also consist of characters being informed about the nature of Shadows and the dangers of not accepting them.

Threads in this log may count towards your dungeon thread requirement of AC. We hope that you will all have fun!

I'd usually say that I'd welcome multiple threads, but this time I'll have to take them on a first-come-first-serve basis, so let me know! I'll be updating what's available over at my plurk, celenza !

Since Kido can hide people's presence, stealth is pretty geared towards her and she'll have no doubt she can do it. And then she'll die, haha. Otherwise, she'll be pretty good with caution, critical thinking, or negotiation too, less so with speed or strength. lmk if there's any particular mission you'd like to team up with! Otherwise I'll probably slide her into one of the three at random as long as there isn't too many people in the team already.

◆ Terry is now a 21-year-old demigod who still looks 20 years old forever and ever. You can use him for his pinpointing, strength, and speed needs. Also if your character is looking to give him odd jobs for money, he'll totally take up on the offer. Regarding pinpointing and whether it's okay or not to have Terry extract info from your character, please fill out the form here!

◆ His Persona, Vassago, now has Absorb Phys. Terry can now be branded as a masochist. Amazing.
◆ He'll also be turning into a kid for 3 days! It'll be a new experience for him because he's never been bitty before--looking 20 his entire life.
◆ Gonna be living in a house with Kido, Rei, and his cat family. He's currently working his ass off to get the essentials for the house.
◆ He's going to be all sorts of wreck once he sees Kido, Rei, and Mondo die some time this month. :') So if you want your characters to deal with the aftermath, that can be arranged... idk whether I'll put up a log for that. We'll see.

◆ Some cool rich oneesan that's apparently loaded right now. If you have a decent relationship with her, or if you're a human in dire of needing shelter, just ask her. She lives in a studio-sized "house" by herself.
◆ I'd like some more "humanizing" bonding activities with her. She can still get pretty awkward in social situations since being a soldier is all that she knows.
◆ She's also investigating the haunted inn and other things from time to time and you can also find her in the bookstore/library too.
◆ If you need a dodge tank or someone who will protect you with their life, RO's your girl.

Kido, Rei, and Mondo are going to die together this month, yay! \o/

I'm also going to update her to a different canon point when she wakes up from her death coma, and stack that with her bonus three days of exaggerated emotions so she can just be screaming and crying and having a bad time :3c
At her current canon point (manga route 2), she had just died and since she was the first to die, she didn't know who did it or why. At her new canon point (manga route 1), she'll have just seen two of her siblings get mercilessly slaughtered in front of her, and then gets shot five times before dying, she had just made new friends and all of them are going to die in the next five seconds too. So she'll wake up from a fever dream at the hospital or at home and just be bleeding out, fun times. Her perspective of things re. home will change a little, but it'll be fun.

Otherwise, before all that happens!!! She's just going to want to grind the dungeons all the time because beds are hella expensive and she wants to be able to afford a real bed, that's the motivating factor of the month. Please team up with her, she can hide you and do sneak attacks on the Shadows and she won't have to actually fight even though her Persona has op stats.

Aside from all that, Kido's pretty excited about forming a gang with Mondo, Rei, Terry, and Hibiki, and if your character is the type to like being together in groups, she's more than happy to have people join and be part of the gang!!

Hello hello! Dani here with Sasuke Sagami from Animal Academy: Hakobune Hakusho!

As mentioned above, he will have a Shadow Event ICly the 4th but OOCly the 3rd for maximum threading times. The Attendants will explain that he's gone into the dungeon if people need an IC reason to help him, and I'm fine with anyone showing up to the proverbial party regardless of how well or not they know Sasuke. Come hear about this random kid's problems! I'm sure it will be fine.

As far as the Shadow goes I would preferrr like 4 people tops for actually fighting it for my own sanity, but anyone else can see and yell at it/Sasuke to try to hurry up the acceptance process too. Please let me know if you want to fight a Shadow!

Once he's dealt with his Shadow, he'll be able to help out with actual dungeon stuff finally, so hit me up if you need a sad ninja kid o7

Otherwise he's living in the Velvet Room and has been doing chores for townspeople on the side - thank God he can just collect materials in the dungeon now that they're disappearing, huh? He's not taking the greatest care of himself in terms of making sure he eats good amounts and sleeps properly but. I'm sure it's fine. Depending on how many threads I rack up this month I may or may not shoot to regain the snake spirit that is enshrined in a very weather beaten torii in the forest, and she has the fun power to "lock" things away, from physical items and creatures to concepts like "feeling pain" or even memories. Once they're locked away, it's as though they never existed in the world, so that's neat and definitely not something that's going to get exploited!

since august was such a shitty month for red, i'm gonna try to make this month more chill for him... as well as myself, lmao. here are some updates/my plans for red:

- he regained his espeon on 8/20, the day he got out of the hospital, so that's another pokémon characters can meet starting this month since he stays out of his ball almost as often as pikachu \o/ warning: he's an asshole who thinks all humans that aren't red are gross
- red is now living in town with akira, gasp!! we're still figuring out the details of where exactly they're gonna live but it's happening! so people may be able to see red around town slightly more often. i say slightly because he's still gonna go out to the mountains to train for hours and hours whenever he can help it, whoops
- he'll be turning 15 on 9/8, though since he doesn't have a phone or calendar he won't even know when his birthday comes around, smh
- other than trying to take baby steps towards becoming a more sane human being, red will ofc remain super active in the dungeon since he enjoys them and also he needs money more than ever now since he needs to pay his hospital debt as well as rent, sob... so far he's gonna help terry with the strength coin, but if anyone else wants him on a coin mission or w/e let me know!
- dungeon threads are going to be my priority this month, and even then i might not do too many since i'm still pretty overwhelmed by my huge backlog from august :'c i don't want to be too inactive this month though so i may start dropping august threads that have hit/once they hit bonus ac length except for a couple important ones, and i'm officially dropping all threads from july as well except for one. i'm so sorry for my continued slowness, guys

→ he's legitimately concerned about the overall wellbeing of everyone (why are there so many homeless people in this town.......) so his request is just an easy way that he can shove money into someone's pocket and put food in their stomach. all he wants in return is to be shown around town
→ icly, he doesn't really have a preference for what to see/do but oocly, here are some ideas: shopping for various knickknacks or groceries, eating at a diner, drinking at a bar, chilling at a playground, touring the schools, whatever works

▣ August was a lot but it ended on a high note as Mondo and Kido formed a gang together that atm only consists of Rei, Terry, and Hibiki. Together they'll protect each other and solve the Hirajiro mystery! Membership is open if you're interested!
▣ Dungeon grinding! If you need a tank and some supporting physical skills, he's here!
▣ He fixed his motorbike sometime in the middle of last month, so he's been taking delivery services since. Unrelatedly, he also takes trinkets/accessories/wood craft order!
▣ He has a phone now!! No video calls but can receive video messages! Here's his inbox if you need it!
▣ Fun times will hit him, Kido, and Rei this month :) He just got a bonus in which shadows will be hyper aggressive to him for 3 full nights so the fate has been sealed.
▣ His personality will flip 180 degree for 1 full day sometime in the month, so... prepare for... Prince Mondo.

LEÓN ▹ ARP
⍟ Leon will be pretty laidback as always. He's here if anyone needs some hug, chill fun times, happy floofy stuff!!
⍟ He'll start a daily morning radio exercise at the park!! In the evening, he'll teach kids how to ride a skateboard (thanks to RO) and maybe some acrobatic moves, but anyone's free to join!
⍟ This month, he'll perform even more often in bars, and do a lot more bartending jobs, so people who drink will see him around!
⍟ Dungeon dungeon dungeon! August made Leon very angry and actively hit up the dungeon like it's his gym - he'll do the same this month. He's reckless and weak, but I have no plans of killing him off! ...For now, at least.
⍟ He's always had phone and is very much a modern high school boy so if you want dumb texts, his inbox is here!!

As Neku's assigned dummy and mun, I am here to actually have this foolish boy get more friends.

>> First things first. A Neku log! It's going to have slice of life hijinks and more. So, if you're interested in that, he is here for it. It's mostly going to involve him beating a bunch of children at street hockey. There will also be the case of disappearing stuffed teddy bears that he must solve from one of the Light Music Club members. Mostly because he now carts around the member's guitar like he owns it and managed to scratch it up pretty badly. Good job on his end. And then, at a restaurant, he's going to have trouble trying one of the food challenges. So if you possibly want a free meal and to get to know Neku better then there's your chance! He also can be found either job hunting or trying to scam other people out of their money.

>> The plan is to do NPC Requests. His main plan is going to be the Arctos Fangs and he is going to need assistance with that he refuses to admit he needs. If anyone is going to take the Escort Mission and wants anyone else along for the ride then Neku would definitely go. If only to show Souji all the non lame spots. Also forcing Neku to open up for Love Thyself works just as well too!

>> Regular ol' Dungeon things too. His Persona is being really huffy with him and is only listening on occasion so he may need some extra assistance on the dungeon. Probably thanks to all the stress and back pain he's gotten from sleeping on the streets like a total loser. He is definitely going to be complaining like an old man.
