→ GENERAL MOD NOTES
Welcome to the fourth month of Cetana! We are now approximently a third way into game so we hope that you are all enjoying it so far. We are back on an off-dungeon month so we have a few events planned for you. Please read these announcements carefully. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask them in the comments.
⬥ There is a new set of requests from the Velvet Room assistants. As a reminder, unless specified otherwise in the specific request, there are no deadlines for turning in threads so please feel free to submit them whenever you please.
⬥ Due to the coin mission thread requirement not being reached in September, the remaining three two threads (Caution, Critical Thinking, Strength) must be fulfilled by October 14. Players who have submitted threads for the previous month may submit a maximum of two threads again this month. These new threads must start in October and may be submitted under the same thread reporting toplevel. Players may create new threads in the September dungeon log, in their inboxes, or in any other posts. Once the thread requirement has been reached, the boss thread will be posted and players may submit threads fr the regular dungeon requirement.
⬥ The dungeon thread requirement is 10 threads across the entire player base with a maximum of 2 threads turned in per player, containing at least 5 comments from you and may not overlap with the coin threads. Threads may involve battling, healing, exploring, discussing, etc as long as the characters interact with the dungeon in some way. The thread reporting toplevel will be posted with the posting of the boss thread.
⬥ The calendar for September is as follows:
- 10/03 - Event log #1 is posted
10/13 - Terry's game-wide Shadow event is posted
10/14 - Completion of the coin missions turn-in deadline
10/28 - Event log #2 is posted
10/31 - Completion of the dungeon turn-in deadline
10/31 - Activity check closes

⬥ With the failure to summon the boss from September, heavy rainfall will pour throughout the month, causing the lake to overflow and flood the town. The townspeople will have to relocate to buildings with multiple stories and both the (haunted) inn and (haunted) school will open its doors for refugees.
⬥ Sometime last month, a torii can be found in the middle of the forest. It appears to have been struck by lightning and is in rough shape, but it's still miraculously standing.
→ OCTOBER 3 - FLOOD, FESTIVAL, BLACKOUT
- On the night of October 3rd, the flood will begin and characters may assist the townspeople in filling up sandbags to place around the town's preimeters, especially as they may be the only ones capable of doing so. The poisonous lakewater will cause many townspeople to fall sick and they will be unaffected by the Velvet Room attendant's poison-curing tea.
From October 11 to 12, the townspeople will be desperate enough from the rain to hold a Paantu Festival, in hopes that they can reverse their bad luck. They will dress up in costume and throw sticky mud at others, hoping to spread good luck and scare away evil spirits. A few of these costumed creatures will reveal themselves as actual demons who will spread some mischief. At the same time, townspeople start to go missing, along with the owners of the occult shop. Good luck trying to earn money for your dungeon loot now.
On October 14, there will be a town-wide blackout (asides from the hospital). Things just keep on getting better and better.

→ OCTOBER 13 - GAME-WIDE SHADOW EVENT
- Haki will be running our first game-wide Shadow Event for Terrence Nowell with a forward-dated IC day. She will be posting the log on October 13 so please look forward to it! There will be no game-wide repurcussions if Terrence's Shadow is not defeated by the end of the month, but there will probably be some repurcussions for Terrence. Probably. Haha.
Threads in this log may count towards your dungeon thread requirement of AC. We hope that you will all have fun!
→ OCTOBER 28 - SPOOKY SCARY SKELETONS
- How could we possibly do nothing for Halloween?
Thankfully, towards the end of the month, the rain will finally subside and everyone will be able to walk outside without water pouring into their shoes. To lighten up the dreary mood from the rainfall, the town will host a fun little event for Halloween. Everyone will get a stamp card that will lead them across Hirajiro and end in the shrine. When characters arrive, they will discover a few clues that will give further insight into the plot and maybe find themselves trapped for three IC days while dealing with some of their worst fears.
Sounds like fun!
This log will be posted ahead of time on October 28.

1. I know we still have to report the coin threads when we're done with them, but do we still have to comment under the coin quest description thread as to who's doing what?
2. Since there's a flood going on, are businesses still... open? Especially the market street since it's technically outside with a roof over their heads.
3. Is the blackout for one full day only?
4. Since the water is overflowing from the toxic lake, will the first floor Shadows be able to swim through Hirajiro now...

2) Flooding will happen gradually over the course of the month, so businesses will try to do their best to keep open, but most will ultimately have to close temporarily once the flooding gets too bad, unless characters can propose a solution to help the townspeople out.
3) Haha, nope. We'll leave it up to the characters to find a solution to see how long the blackout lasts!
4) The first floor Shadows will be confined to the first floor, thankfully. More details on how the flooding will affect the school and lake dungeons will be provided in the log!

Terrence Nowell / Original
⬥ Terry has been a little crankier than usual lately, but can easily be emotionally swayed. He's unintentionally emulating his original more and he doesn't realize it, because he thinks it's just the stress from adjusting to his new glasses and everything else. It'll get worse and worse as mid-October approaches...
⬥ He also took up a #solochallenge from Minato, so he won't have his omamori for several days. This is why he's going into Dungeons without his Persona, like the idiot he is. Someone please bash the concept of teamwork into his head before the mere idea will be glued into his mind that being a solo player is the best thing in the world. He will be tearing through the School Dungeon for two days (10/2-3) and the Lake Dungeon for two days (10/4-5) while being like this. He will absolutely have no problems with the school Dungeon, but he'll probably need help with the Lake Dungeon because...
⬥ He'll be suffering from extra heat sensitivity for three days (10/4-6)! LOL. He's going to absolutely melt on the fourth floor.
⬥ That said, he will be available for the Critical Thinking and
especially Strengthcoin missions.⬥ Also, if you'd like to do something with Terry, please make sure it's before 10/15 ICly, because he won't be available for some time after, depending on how the personal dungeon goes. Haha...
⬥ He also compiled a lot of notes regarding plot clues and such! Feel free to contact him about it. Since it'll be raining a lot, he'll probably invite them over to his house.
⬥ Sometimes he'll feel like going for a walk, so occasionally, you'll see him outside in the rain with an umbrella and rainboots.
⬥ His Location Service stall will be closed all month! He'll initially plan to close it during the rain, but after the rain is over, he'll get abducted, so he won't have the chance to reopen it.
⬥ And as usual, please fill out the pinpointing permission form if you haven't already.
⬥ You'll see the rest when the Dungeon post pops up on the 13th.
UMP45 / Girls' Frontline
⬥ Otherwise known as "Itsuki Shimizu" to some people because "UMP45" and "45" are generally not names you give to humans.
⬥ Because of the perpetual rain, she's going to bum out at the Velvet Room every day, but sometimes go outside for food and such. People are free to mistake her as an Attendant from her gold eyes and the Attendant attire, because she's still wearing that.
⬥ I'm planning for her to regain her gun eventually this month, so if you want to do something with that, let me know!
⬥ She's pretty much free all month to do whatever she wants. lol.

Kido
After ending up dead last month and seeing her family and friends get slaughtered in front of her eyes before being kicked back to Hirajirou, Kido's sort of a mess of problems now and subsequently her Persona refuses to come out for her. Which will be fun! Nekogami may or may not come back depending on how people help her process things, and if she isn't able to convince Nekogami to come out by the end of the month, maybe I'll run a Shadow event in November, idk
Kido would work best at Critical Thinking, if you want to team up with her.
Kano
Kano is a recent arrival to Hirajiro and he's a questionably good kid who is unfortunately also a dick and a faker and enjoys pissing people off. He's a CRAU from Daybreak, and for the majority of the month, he'll probably be scouting out the town looking for good places to set up "bases" aka abandoned buildings with good vantage points and stuff. His Persona is Ala, which is a shapeshifter just like he is, so if you see a girl Kano running around, it could be him or it could be his Persona out on errands, who knows.
For coin missions, Kano will be best at Strength, hilariously, because while he can not and will not fight, he will claim he can get that coin in less than 30 seconds with a little help, and be able to do it.
Minato
Minato's an NPC but is always here for threads if your character needs somebody to come to for advice or just to hang out. Feel free to ask him for whatever (strengthening Persona stats, tagging along in the dungeon, ways to stop being poisoned, etc) and he'll make it happen after your character fills one of his personal requests. He isn't available for coin missions because he'd just walk straight into a Shadow horde and snatch the coin away or something and that'd be boring, but he's there to around bounce ideas if your character needs them, or to just stand there and watch them fail without helping.

Your resident ninja kid! He accepted his Shadow and now his Persona actually listens to him, it's nice.
-He'll be available for coin hunting! He's in the process of getting Caution with Akira, but you can grab him for other coin attempts for sure
even if he's a noodle-He'll be throwing himself at Terry's dungeon, like, a lot.
-His worst fears might touch on abuse, idk, we'll see when the details come out, but as always he does have an opt-out for that topic.
-He's been digging around for rumors and information if your character is interested in asking him what he knows.
Rio Takeuchi
Your brand new friend! She'll be arriving looking like this, with a hospital outfit and a bandage around her head being the most visible indicators of "not doing okay."
-She'll be acting cute and innocent with her cover story being that she got into an accident.
-As indicated above, when she doesn't think anyone else is around, she's going to be lobbing bombs at Shadows. Where did she get these bombs? By grabbing supplies from around town and making them herself, of course.
-That said if we still need coins by the time she shows her true colors, you can recruit her for the task.
-Social link her for lessons in making bombs and modifying airsoft guns to have enough oomph to do more (but not great) damage.
-You can also social link her for someone who actually knows their way around a fight and can think strategy on the fly.

Rio probably won't be staying at the hotel because if she's out she might as well start... doing stuff with her life. She can fire a gun and throw a bomb, it's fine c': or sucker others into fighting to defend her. If he calls her out without spooking her too bad, she will absolutely make bombs with him!! Thank you Terry, you are such a convenient meat shield, which is good because her stats have her functionally acting as a glass cannon WHOOPS. Kido would be interested in rumors and information! since she's basically "wow, I can't summon Nekogami so I'm useless in the dungeons" and is trying to find other ways to help. Would this be stuff Sasuke would tell people about or would Kido have to ask him directly? I could probably also put up another Mystery Club log if people don't think it'll be redundant/if there's new or different things to talk about

Rio and Kano sounds like such a dangerous combination... if they end up getting along, RIP uh, everyone probably.
As for Sasuke, he needs a little prodding to talk about anything in general, but if asked what he knows he'll go ahead and talk. He just doesn't tend to assume people want to know unless they tell him as much. And whether or not you do a mystery club log this month, whenever we have one he'll definitely talk about anything he's learned since.

I don't really have any set plans for him, and I'm just going to toss up an open/arrival post and see what happens. His regain-able powers include superspeed (apparently faster than Terry), and visions of impending doom and other disturbing things. (seizure warning: visual depiction here)
He's coming from a canon point at the end of March, after getting hit by a car (Kano's fault). He screams, panics, and cries a lot and he's pretty useless in a physical fight, yet doesn't have the intelligence to make up for it either.
