I'm also sad about August Terry, because current Terry really did change a lot despite his efforts to stay the same like you said. He hung onto his love for Kido for so, so long that he cried about not being able to see her again for hundreds of years, and then just went to being sad. It's hilarious because some people tried to come onto him in the duration of the update, but he rejected them quickly because he still had Kido in his heart. But by the time he came back to Hirajiro after all that made him question everything. Was it really love he felt for Kido? Was it just being possessive of her? What's romantic love anyway? It was quickly "resolved" after talking to her again, and it was like he fell in love all over again...

He regrets hurting her a lot, and sometimes wondered if he was even worth loving like that, considering his self-esteem is pretty much in the pits now. That's why when her Shadow said that last line, it really hit him hard and made him snap. But he'll keep on living, if not for himself, then for other people. Kido is like the anchor that keeps him grounded that likes to move wherever it wants with the flow of the water. She doesn't give up and always does her best, which is something Terry still admires her for. He'd still do anything for her because he's forever whipped... even if he'll have to give her a dead look for the more outrageous requests. Also she gets bolder every time things happen, so he's just like "o...h................." lol

Despite Nekogami being a part of Kido, Terry still feels towards him lmao though it'll considerably lessen if they don't glare at each other upon meeting anymore...

Orien always wants to do his best to help Kido, especially because she has to deal with Terry's everything (he knows how it is) and everything else... being a leader sounds like hard stuff, Kido. So he wants to take up things so that she can chill and have time to herself. He also enjoys taking care of the cats with Kido too... I'd like to imagine Orien taught Kido more about cats after that children's day thing.
